Healthcare Science is a dynamic and continually evolving discipline that requires highly trained individuals to perform an array of laboratory based techniques that contribute to the overall care and wellbeing of patients.The Healthcare Science degree is closely linked with the workforce planning requirements for NHS Wales, therefore offering an enhanced level of employability. During the second year of study, students will specialise in one of the following disciplines: Blood Science, Cellular Science, Genetics Science or Infection Science. Successful graduates will also be eligible to apply for registration as a Biomedical Scientist with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), further enhancing the career opportunities.
Students with good grades in their Higher Secondary School Certificates - Indian School Certificate (ISC) / Intermediate Certificate / Higher School Certificate / Higher Secondary Certificate / All India Senior School Certificate / Pre-University Course - awarded on completion of Standard XII. IELTS 7.0 overall* with no sub score lower than 6.5. Tariff Points: 120-128, A level subjects: Minimum three A levels. Grades BB in Biology and an equivalent Science.International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma: Minimum Grade 6 in Higher Level Biology and equivalent Science. Interview, A DBS and Occupational health check.
