Program Overview

The BSc Healthcare Science (Audiology) program prepares you to become a skilled audiology practitioner, who will be at the forefront of the medical profession. You will gain the necessary skills and knowledge to confidently diagnose, assess, treat and rehabilitate a variety of conditions related to hearing and balance.

During the course, you will be exposed to a wide range of topics, including auditory rehabilitation, tinnitus, cochlear implants, bone anchored hearing devices, and balance assessment and rehabilitation. You will also learn how to apply scientific principles of healthcare science to patient care, and develop the confidence to carry out diagnostic and therapeutic investigations required for the role of a Healthcare Science Practitioner in Audiology.

The program emphasizes honing clinical decision-making skills and executing a wide range of clinical procedures in audiology in adherence with health and safety guidelines, scope of practice, and professional codes of conduct. You will learn how to perform various procedures, such as pure tone audiometry, tympanometry, and hearing aid programming & verification, which are essential to the field of audiology.
