The purpose of this degree is to equip you with the necessary knowledge, skills, attitude, and ethical values to deliver outstanding patient-centered care, and to work safely and efficiently within the National Health Service. The program is designed to teach you how to perform specialist procedures in cardiac science, such as echocardiography, which uses ultrasound to visualize the heart to aid in diagnosis, pacemaker implantation and follow-up, including measurements and programming of pacemaker devices, and exercise stress testing, which involves monitoring the blood vessels that supply the heart, subject to permission.
Moreover, you will learn to conduct electrocardiograms (ECGs) and measure blood pressure, which are fundamental procedures in cardiac science. Through the program, you will develop the necessary skills and confidence to carry out these procedures effectively and safely while adhering to the ethical standards of the healthcare profession.
A level's with BBC grades. 112 UCAS Tariff Points including GCSE: Grade 4/C in English and Mathematics. BTEC DMM Good grades in IB is accepted. You must have competence in English language to study with us. The most commonly accepted evidence of English language ability is IELTS 6.0 (with minimum 5.5 in all components).
