Program Overview

Genetics is the study of the inherited differences between individuals, whereas Immunology is the study of how the body defends itself against the huge variety of pathogenic microorganisms it may encounter. In this degree programme we combine Genetics and Immunology, aiming to instil a broad base of knowledge at molecular, cellular and organismal levels. Additionally, students will gain an in depth understanding of selected aspects of Genetics and Immunology which will reflect the research expertise and strengths within the School, and will be instructed in the many applications of these subjects.
