Geneticists study the basis of life, helping solve some of the major challenges facing us as a species, including emerging human diseases and threats to wildlife populations. Here you'll be taught by academics who are actively researching these problems. This is a subject of importance to all areas of biology, from evolution to medicine.Our courses are flexible, adapting to your evolving needs: with a wide array of options in second and third year, you can specialise in the genetics of disease, microbial genetics, or evolutionary biology. It’s also possible to switch to an integrated master's course (MSci) from a BSc course, depending on your grades in the second year.
