Program Overview

Year 2:
The focus shifts to applying theory to practice with modules such as Enhancing Midwifery Practice, Perinatal Mental Health, and Management of Pregnancy-Related Conditions. Students deepen their understanding of clinical midwifery skills and develop competence in communication, leadership, and ethical practice.

Year 3:
Final year students consolidate their learning through advanced modules including Excellence in Midwifery Practice and Evidence-Based Practice. They prepare for accountable, autonomous professional midwifery roles with a focus on quality improvement, leadership, and complex care situations. Placement hours increase to ensure readiness for registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC)
