District nurses care for people in their home and in the community. If you re already a qualified nurse, this course will develop your community nursing skills. You ll learn to lead teams in delivering excellent patient-centred care, improve your caseload management and independent working skills, and gain a prescribing qualification.
Applicants must hold 240 credits (120 level 4, 120 level 5 or 6). Applicants have to be registered on Part 1 of the Nursing and Midwifery Council Register and will normally have completed a period of experience of sufficient length to have consolidated preregistration outcomes and to have gained a deeper understanding in relevant professional practice, At IELTS 6.0 (Academic level) or equivalent, HSC/Standard 12 with an overall average of 60% with at least 40% in a minimum of 5 subjects from any other exam board. DBS check required.
