Curriculum Structure
Year 1:
Your journey starts with the fundamentals of nursing. You’ll learn how to assess and care for adults safely and effectively through modules like Nursing Skills 1: Introduction to Nursing Assessment Skills and Introduction to Evidence-Based Practice in Health and Ill-Health: Adult Nursing. This first year helps you develop core communication, clinical, and teamwork skills while introducing you to the realities of healthcare practice.
Year 2:
In your second year, you’ll begin to think and act like a nurse. Modules such as Principles of Innovative Person-Centred Nursing Practice in Adult Nursing and Perspectives of Complex Care in Adult Nursing explore how to deliver high-quality care to people with a range of needs, from acute illness to long-term conditions. You’ll also strengthen your decision-making and leadership abilities during your clinical placements, where you’ll apply what you learn in real healthcare environments.
Year 3:
Your final year prepares you to take on professional responsibility. Through Nursing Skills 4: Enhancing Clinical Skills for Complex Care, you’ll refine advanced clinical and problem-solving skills while developing confidence to manage challenging care situations. By the end of the year, you’ll be ready to register as a qualified nurse and step into practice with independence and professional pride.
