Year 1 – Foundations of Nursing & Mental Health

Your first year helps you discover what it means to be a mental health nurse. Modules like Discovering My Identity as a Nurse (NPR1027) and Professionalism and Public Protection in Nursing (NPR1028) teach you the essentials of safe, ethical practice, while Guided Participation in Nursing Care (NPR1031P) gives you hands-on exposure in simulated and real clinical settings.

Year 2 – Building Skills & Applying Evidence

In the second year, you’ll strengthen your skills and link theory to practice. Through Constructing and Developing My Nursing Identity (NPR2067), Applying Understanding of Nursing Professionalism and Protection of the Public in Nursing (NPR2068), and Interpreting the Evidence Base Influencing Mental Health Nursing (NPR2072), you’ll work alongside patients and professionals, developing confidence in delivering person-centred care.
