It suits students who are compassionate, practical, and motivated to make a real difference, combining academic learning with extensive clinical placements from the very start of the course.

Curriculum Structure

Year 1
In your first year, you’ll build strong foundations in adult nursing, focusing on how the human body works and what safe, compassionate care looks like in practice. Core units such as Foundations of Nursing Practice, Anatomy and Physiology, and Practice Learning introduce you to professional values, communication skills, and real clinical environments, helping you connect theory with hands-on experience early on.

Year 2
The second year develops your confidence and clinical reasoning as you care for adults with more complex health needs. Through units like Evidence-Based Nursing Practice, Long-Term Conditions, and continued Practice Learning, you’ll learn how to assess patients, plan and deliver care, and work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Year 3
In your final year, the focus shifts to leadership, decision-making, and preparing for professional practice as a registered nurse. Modules such as Leadership and Management in Nursing, Advancing Professional Practice, and a Dissertation or Practice-Focused Project help you refine your clinical skills, understand service improvement, and transition confidently into your nursing career.
