4 Years On Campus Bachelors Program
If you want to care for people holistically across both physical and mental health, the MNurse (Adult and Mental Health) is an ideal pathway. This four-year integrated master’s degree combines hands-on clinical experience with classroom learning, preparing you to graduate as a dual-registered nurse ready to make a real impact in a variety of healthcare settings.
Curriculum Structure
Year 1 – Building Core Knowledge and Skills
Your first year lays the foundations for professional nursing. You’ll study modules like Professional and Academic Skills for Learning in Nursing to develop confidence at university level, Foundation of Anatomy and Physiology for Physical and Mental Health Care Across the Lifespan, and Simulation and Practice Learning 1 & 2, which allow you to practise real-life clinical skills in a safe environment. You’ll also explore Nursing Care in Context and Fostering Health and Wellness, helping you understand how care is delivered and what it means to support people’s wellbeing.
Years 2–3 – Growing Clinical Competence
These middle years help you apply theory to real-world practice. You’ll complete practice placements in both adult and mental health settings, such as hospitals, community services, GP practices, hospice care, and mental health inpatient or community services. These years focus on developing your confidence, decision-making, and ability to care for diverse patient needs across multiple care environments.
