Curriculum Structure

Year 1 – Foundations of Nutrition and Food Management
Your first year sets the stage, introducing you to the basics of nutrition, food science, and management. You’ll explore Introduction to Nutrition, Food Science Fundamentals, and Management Principles, learning how nutrients affect health, how food works at a chemical and physical level, and how to run food-related services efficiently.

Year 2 – Applied Nutrition and Food Systems
In your second year, you’ll start applying what you’ve learned in real-world contexts. Modules such as Public Health Nutrition, Food Safety and Quality Management, and Nutrition Across the Lifespan will show you how to plan healthier communities, ensure food products are safe and high-quality, and understand nutritional needs at every stage of life.

Year 3 – Advanced Nutrition and Professional Practice
Your final year focuses on advanced study and preparing you for professional work. Clinical Nutrition, Food Policy and Regulation, and a Research Project allow you to explore how nutrition can prevent and manage disease, understand the laws guiding the food industry, and carry out your own research in a chosen area.
