The University of West London was founded in 1860 with the establishment of the Lady Byron School, which eventually became Ealing College of Higher Education. University of West London's different campuses locations

In western Greater London, there are two campus locations: St Mary's Road in Ealing and Paragon House in Brentford. A third location is located in Reading, Berkshire, around 35 miles from the Ealing sites. The £100 million redevelopments of the St Mary's Road, Ealing campus in 2015 included a new social space, library, student's union, gym, and improved facilities. In 2017, an additional £1 million was invested in the Paragon campus in Brentford, as well as the creation of a nursing simulation center to the Reading site.
