This course emphasises fire in the context of buildings and infrastructure, and the technology for predicting fires and designing against them. The application of Fire Engineering is multi-disciplinary (every area of academic study plays a role in this understanding from law to chemistry) and it is envisaged that, as in the professional world, you will carry out project work, which will facilitate dialogue between the Fire Engineer and other members of the design and management teams.
UCAS: 104 points at A2 including Grade C in A Level Maths and Physics or STEM, International Baccalaureate Diploma: Pass including 104 points from Higher Level Subjects including relevant Science at Higher Level. 62% from all boards in Higher Secondary, IELTS score of 6.0 (with no component score lower than 5.5)
