The LLB Commercial Law program is well-suited for students interested in a career in commercial legal practice or in-house legal services. It is also advantageous for students seeking a strong legal foundation to bring into management, consulting, or entrepreneurship.

Many students enroll in this program to prepare for professional qualifications such as the Solicitors Qualifying Exam (SQE) for solicitors or the Bar Practice Course/Barrister Training Course for barristers. The LLB program meets the academic requirements of the Bar Standards Board's seven Foundations of Legal Knowledge for bar training.

Although an LLB degree is not mandatory for the SQE, the LLB program offers a solid basis for it, and graduates may pursue further education, such as a master's degree, before taking professional exams.

A law degree is in high demand in various sectors, including business (e.g., Human Resources, Tax, and Insurance), charity, management, administration, the Civil Service, education, and government. Graduates may pursue careers as Solicitors, Barristers, Legal Executives, Paralegals, or in community advisory roles.
