LLB Hons Law

3 Years On Campus Bachelors Program

University of Worcester

Program Overview

At the University of Worcester, the LLB Law degree begins with a solid foundation in key legal areas such as contract law, public law, and criminal law. In your first year, you'll gain a thorough understanding of the English legal system and the workings of the legal profession. As you advance through the course, you'll have the flexibility to tailor your studies through a wide range of optional modules in your second and third years. These include subjects like commercial law, human rights law, the law of evidence, and medical law and ethics—allowing you to shape your degree around your specific interests and career aspirations.

Assessment methods go beyond traditional exams and essays. You’ll be evaluated through practical formats such as oral presentations, research projects, and simulated legal scenarios in the university’s purpose-built mock courtroom. This hands-on approach helps reinforce your understanding of legal principles while building vital professional skills.

Worcester’s law students benefit from a close-knit academic community located in the heart of the city, just a short walk from local courts and law firms. You'll learn from experienced academics, alumni, and a network of professionals, including the Resident Judge of Hereford and Worcester.

The course also incorporates pro bono opportunities, enabling you to collaborate with practicing solicitors and contribute meaningfully to the community. In your third year, you may also opt for a work-based placement at a law firm, chambers, or legal advice centre—equipping you with invaluable real-world legal experience before graduation.
