LLB Law

3 Years On Campus Bachelors Program

University of Leicester

Program Overview

At Leicester Law School, our research-driven teaching approach combines lectures, seminars, and small-group tutorials of around twelve to fifteen students, ensuring you receive tailored support to grasp complex legal concepts.

You’ll have the opportunity to broaden your horizons by opting for a year abroad or participating in our Pro-Bono group, where you can provide free legal advice to real clients and communities. We also encourage students to develop practical legal skills through our award-winning extracurricular activities.

The Law LLB serves as a traditional pathway into the legal profession while offering flexibility to explore areas of law that interest you through a wide range of optional modules. This intellectually stimulating and rigorous course equips you with essential legal knowledge and transferable skills, such as critical thinking, research, reasoning, and problem-solving. Your studies will involve analyzing cases and statutes, tackling real-world legal problems, and understanding the social, economic, and political implications of the law.

The foundation subjects covered in this degree are recognized by the Bar Standards Board and essential for future qualification as a solicitor through the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA)’s approved pathways.

Throughout the program, you will study core areas of law while choosing from a diverse selection of specialized modules, allowing you to tailor your degree to your interests. This comprehensive understanding of the legal system will help you make an informed decision about your career direction post-graduation.

As you deepen your legal knowledge, you will refine your analytical and problem-solving abilities, developing the adaptability needed to apply legal principles to real-world scenarios effectively.
