Program Overview

Our LLB program, accredited by the Solicitors Regulation Authority and Bar Standards Board, serves as the foundational qualification for entering the legal profession. In the first two years, you will build a strong legal foundation through core modules such as criminal law, contract law, and public law. From your first year, you will also have the opportunity to tailor your studies by selecting from a variety of optional modules based on your interests. Additionally, you can complement your legal education with subjects outside the School, including languages, politics, and business courses like entrepreneurship. In your final year, you can further specialize by choosing from a diverse range of modules, including Technology, Privacy and Internet Regulation, Foundations of International Law, Banking Law, Commercial Law, and Family Law.

Experiential Learning (Research, Projects, Internships etc.)

  • Pro Bono Legal Work

    • The School of Law hosts one of the largest pro bono programmes in the UK, offering students the opportunity to work with charities and organizations on a voluntary basis. This initiative allows students to gain practical experience while contributing to public service. University of Reading
