During your studies, you will develop a solid understanding of human physiology and how the body's physiological systems respond to extreme environmental conditions, such as extreme temperatures and space.
In Year 1, you will review the fundamental sciences, including cell biology, anatomy, human physiology, and the physics of instrumentation and equipment used to record body functions. You will also learn about current trends and potential careers in medical physiology.
In Year 2, you will delve into common cardiovascular, respiratory, and nervous systems, studying relevant anatomy, cell biology, genetics, physiology, pathophysiology, pharmacology, and therapeutics. You will also learn techniques for assessing the functioning of these systems and acquire research and employability skills.
Finally, in Year 3, you will explore the techniques used for in-depth assessments of the cardiovascular, respiratory, nervous, and musculoskeletal systems, focusing on diagnostics and assessing human performance.
