The BSc (Hons) in Biochemistry entails the study of the biochemical mechanisms involved in all life processes covering a broad spectrum of fields, from viral replication to neurobiology. You will investigate the biochemical aspects of cell and organismal function and regulation including protein function, molecular genetics, membranes and cell communication, bioenergetics and pharmacology as well as final-year laboratory project with one of the relevant research groups in the Biomedical Research Centre.

A minimum average of 90% (with 90% or higher in any prerequisite subjects) in Standard XII examinations, or A1-A2 if you are taking examinations used by Central Boards, SQA Highers: AAAB, including Biology (or Human Biology) and Chemistry, GCE A-Levels: AAB, including Biology and Chemistry, IB points: 36, including HL6 in Biology and HL6 in Chemistry, IELTS score of 6.5, with a minimum score of 6.0, TOEFL (IBT) of 92 overall with at least 20 in all components, CAE/CPE of 176, PTE (Academic) of 62 overall with at least 59 in each component
