If you have the ability but not the qualifications, an extended degree is the first step to graduation. This four-year programme is identical to the three-year degree, but includes a foundation year, and has a lower entry tariff. It will prepare you for careers in medical diagnostic and research environments.
A-level: 64 Points from related subjects, for example biology, sports science, human biology, or physics, BTEC National: Extended Diploma in Applied Science, A-level and BTEC National: Diploma/Extended Certificate in Applied Science and 16 Points from a related science subject, Plus GCSEs in English language and mathematics at grade 4 or above (grade C or above under the A*-G system), and one GCSE science subject at Grade C or above under the A*-G system, IELTS score of 6.0.
