In the Biological Sciences (Zoology) degree you will explore theoretical and practical aspects of animal biology and biodiversity including animal behaviour, development, ecology, evolution and animal physiology. You will gain a comprehensive, up-to-date understanding of the approaches and practical experience of the techniques that zoologists use to tackle some of the most important questions in neurobiology, behaviour, ecology and evolution. Your lab work and lectures will be supported by fieldwork, including overseas field courses.
A-levels: typical offer AAB/ABB, normally including at least two relevant science subjects from Biology (preferred), Chemistry, Physics or Maths. We may consider two AS-levels in place of one A2-level. General Studies not accepted. International Baccalaureate: Pass Diploma with 30 points, including at least two relevant science subjects from Biology (preferred), Chemistry, Physics or Maths at Grade 6 at higher level.IELTS 6.5 or equivalent. At least 75% required overall in Higher secondary(12th). Interview required.
