BA Religion and Anthropology

3 Years On Campus Bachelors Program

University of Manchester

Program Overview

Religion is inextricably bound up with ways of being human. It is here to stay and there is a critical need to understand how and why it forms a central part of human cultures. The Religion and Anthropology degree programme provides a unique opportunity to explore religion in this way, as an embedded feature of social living and political expression. It draws on the two disciplines of Religious Studies and Social Anthropology to explore themes such as ritual, myth, sacred space and iconography as critical features of human societies, both past and present.
