Program Description

This degree in professional policing may be a suitable course for those interested in joining the police force, pursuing non-operational roles, or exploring opportunities in the military or security services. Through our strong connections with Northants Police, they offer a variety of guest speakers ranging from detectives to child protection officers.

Our purpose-built facilities provide an opportunity to apply your knowledge in real-life situations while working with colleagues from various departments within the university. Collaborative efforts result in a comprehensive and valuable qualification that is recognized by forces throughout the East Midlands and beyond.

Eligibility Criteria

Typical offers would be:

BCC at A Level or
DMM at BTEC or
Pass (C and above) at T Level or
An Access Course that includes 30 level 3 credits at Merit.

In addition, you will be expected to have GCSE English Language at a grade C/4 or above. We do accept equivalences (e.g. Level 2 Functional / Key Skills). If you have qualifications preceding GCSEs and do not have English Language at grade C/4 then we will consider your application on an individual basis.

English Language Requirements

All International and EU students applying for a course with us must meet the following minimum English language requirements:

IELTS 6.0 (or equivalent) with a minimum of 5.5 in all bands for study at undergraduate level.
