Program Overview

This programme blends rigorous theoretical economics with practical, data-driven application, preparing you to investigate real-world economic issues across business, policy and finance. If you’re curious about how markets, organisations and governments operate—and you enjoy working with quantitative tools—this degree is a strong fit for you.

Curriculum structure:

Foundation Year: If you opt for the Foundation Year route, this will fully prepare you for undergraduate study. It is ideal if you are returning to study after a gap, or if you have not previously studied the relevant subjects, or if you didn't achieve the grades you need for a place on your chosen undergraduate degree.

Year 1: In your first year you’ll dive into core modules like Introduction to Economics, Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, and Applied Statistics & Econometrics, equipping you with foundational economic reasoning and quantitative confidence.

Year 2: During your second year you’ll broaden your expertise through modules such as Microeconomics II, Macroeconomics II and options like Behavioural Economics, sharpening both your analytical depth and ability to apply economics in policy or business contexts.

Year 3: In your final year you’ll engage with advanced topics and a substantial project—like Applied Statistics & Econometrics, Corporate Finance or a module of your choice—allowing you to specialise, craft your independent investigation and prime yourself for your next step.
