Program Overview

The Sheffield Hallam University BSc (Hons) in Economics provides a rigorous study of economic theory, policy, and application. Experiential Learning (Research, Projects, Internships etc.)

Live Projects:

  • Final year students work on consultancy projects, researching and offering solutions to clients in business. Some of the previous clients are HSBC, Microsoft, and the Bank of England.

Work Placements:

  • A sandwich year option in the second to third years offers industry experience. Internship experience has been previously gained with companies such as Pwc, Lloyds Bank, and Santander.

Studying overseas

  • The students can study overseas at authorised partner universities, with their credit transferred back to Sheffield Hallam University.

Progression & Future Opportunities

90% are in work or doing further study 15 months after the course. According to the 2021/22 Graduate Outcomes Survey, 100% of graduates are employed or engaged in further study within fifteen months post-graduation.
