Right from the first year studying foundational economic principles and theories, you’ll begin building a toolkit of theoretical and quantitative skills. As you progress, you’ll have the option to specialise, deciding in the final year whether to incorporate applied modules alongside the methodological pathway. This degree comes with the opportunity to do a year-long, paid work placement, starting after your second year with some of the UK's top employers – these have included the Bank of England, HM Treasury, IBM and PwC.
