Program Overview

The BSc Economics is a rigorous, quantitative degree tailored for students with a strong mathematical background. Experiential Learning (Research, Projects, Internships etc.)

Q-Step Data Fellowships: Exclusive to students on the Economics (Data Analytics pathway), these paid summer internships are available to second-year undergraduates. Participants engage in data-driven research projects, applying statistical techniques to real-world social science questions. Eligibility requires enrollment in specific quantitative modules and maintaining a 2:1 academic standing. ​
 

Study Abroad: Students may apply in Year 2 to spend Year 3 studying at one of nearly 300 partner universities across more than 30 countries. ​
 

Professional Experience Year: Eligible students can undertake a paid placement in Year 3, extending the degree to four years and enhancing employability. ​
 

Student Societies: Involvement in societies such as the BSc Economics Society and the Manchester University Trading and Investment Society (MUTIS), which offer networking events, discussions, and employer engagement opportunities.
