Curriculum structure
Year 1:
Students study Principles of Economics, Introductory Finance, and the Management Development Programme, building foundations in economic thinking, financial concepts and professional skills.
Year 2:
Learning deepens through Intermediate Microeconomics, Intermediate Macroeconomics, and Accounting & Financial Analysis, focusing on market behaviour, policy analysis and financial reporting.
Year 3:
Students specialise with modules such as Corporate Finance, International Macroeconomics, or Financial Markets, applying advanced economic and financial analysis to real-world problems.
Year 4:
The degree offers optional study abroad opportunities that allow students to spend a year or semester at a partner university, gaining international academic and cultural experience. Year 5:
The dissertation is an important part of the fourth year programme. Single Honours Economics BA students are required to submit a dissertation in Economics.
