BSc Geography degree equips you with an appreciation of landscape formation and changes in landscapes over different timescales, as well as key skills in GIS (Geographical Information Systems), data analysis, group work and report writing. This course addresses the complex and dynamic processes associated with rivers, glaciers, volcanoes, earthquakes, ecology, soils, climate, landscape history and environmental monitoring and modelling, plus the relationship between humans and the environment. You participate in field studies on the North York Moors and have opportunities to visit overseas destinations such as Morocco, Iceland, Malawi and Spain.
