The University of Hull is a public research university in Kingston upon Hull, a city in the East Riding of Yorkshire, England. It was founded in 1927 as University College Hull. The main university campus is located in Hull and is home to the Hull York Medical School, a joint initiative with the University of York.

The university comprises of various faculties: Faculty of Arts, Culture & Education; Faculty of Business, Law &Politics; Faculty of Health Sciences and Faculty of Science & Engineering. The total student population at the university is more than 16,000 of which over 13,500 are enrolled in the undergraduate courses. The student to faculty ratio at the university is 20:1.

The university has a partnership with ONCAMPUS that offers Undergraduate Foundation Program, International Year-1 and Master’s Foundation Program. The Undergraduate Foundation Program gives guaranteed progression (subject to fulfillment of specified criteria) to Year-1 of a wide range of undergraduate degrees. International Year-1 program offers guaranteed progression (subject to fulfillment of specified criteria) to Year-2 of MEng/BEng Mechanical Engineering, MEng/BEng Mechanical & Automotive Engineering, MEng/BEng Mechanical Engineering & Manufacturing and MEng Mechanical & Energy Engineering. The Master’s Foundation Program is a three-term program, with guaranteed progression (subject to fulfillment of specified criteria) to a wide range of Business-related Master’s degrees at the University of Hull.
