Year 1
Your first year builds a strong foundation across both disciplines. In History, you’ll explore History in Practice and thematic modules covering global and modern perspectives. In Politics, you’ll take core courses such as Introduction to Comparative Politics and Introduction to Political Theory, giving you the tools to analyse how governments work and how societies debate power.

Year 2
By your second year, you’ll have more freedom to tailor your studies. You’ll deepen your historical knowledge through option courses like Modern British History or The Making of the Modern World, while in Politics you’ll engage with modules such as Freedom and Equality or European Union Politics. You’ll also develop research skills that prepare you for your final dissertation.
