Psychology BSc Hons

3 Years On Campus Bachelors Program

London South Bank University

Program Overview

Psychology offers a captivating exploration into the factors that shape how people think, feel, and behave. It investigates whether our actions are influenced by our genes, environment, or a combination of both. This course stands out as one of the first in the UK to teach the core psychology curriculum from a holistic perspective, helping students understand how diverse areas of psychology—biological, cognitive, developmental, individual differences, social, and conceptual—interact. This integrated approach facilitates a deeper understanding of human behavior, covering topics such as emotions, social interactions, communication, learning, and memory.

At LSBU, our psychology program is accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS), ensuring that students receive a quality education recognized by the profession. Our graduates have pursued successful careers in a wide range of fields, including the NHS, police force, and wellbeing organizations. We are ranked 4th among London’s modern universities for psychology (Guardian University Guide 2025), reflecting our strong reputation in the field.

Our state-of-the-art facilities, such as the eye-tracking and observation labs, provide students with hands-on learning experiences. The course is also supported by a dedicated team of research-active staff who are committed to enhancing student learning and personal development. Faculty members offer office hours for additional support, and all teaching staff are involved in supervising research projects, ensuring students receive expert guidance throughout their studies.
