The Fine Art (Top-Up) BA (Hons) program consists of three modules:
ART3018 Critical Study (20 credits): This module allows students to extensively research a subject of their choosing and prepare either a written essay or a reflective summary of a practical project.
ART3019 Professional Practice & Employability (20 credits): This module prepares students for a career in the arts industry. It includes instruction on creating marketing materials, writing an artist's statement, identifying suitable job opportunities, and the chance to undertake a short practical activity such as a placement.
ART4013 Practice Exhibition (80 credits): This module is the core of the program. With guidance from tutorials, seminars, and group discussions, students will work on developing their own art practice towards a significant exhibition of their artwork, known as the "Degree Show."
To be admitted to the program, applicants are required to have completed a Fine Art or related Art and Design subject at Foundation Degree/HND level or an equivalent qualification. Non-traditional applicants and international students are encouraged to apply.
