4 Years On Campus Bachelors Program

Western State Colorado University

Program Overview

The Jewelry emphasis will provide you with a strong foundation in traditional and contemporary jewelry and metals techniques. The curriculum is designed to teach you a variety of processes for working with metal and non-metal materials and explore contemporary and historical artwork. Throughout intensive coursework, you'll be challenged to develop your own personal style, while building a repertoire of preferred techniques. In fact, your exploration of metal sculpture and studio jewelry-making might even become a springboard for the development of your own unique brand or business. You can take advantage of the unique opportunity to practice your craft in Western Colorado University's outstanding metalsmith facilities with several torches, buffing wheels and the assistance of a shop technician.
