The Social Welfare at Clarke University helps provide a comprehensive understanding of the social welfare system in the United States and the social issues facing social workers. The Social Welfare minor also introduces students to theories of human behavior, diversity, social justice, and the National Association of Social Workers Code of Ethics. The courses offered in the minor will acquaint students in other disciplines (e.g., sociology, psychology, health science, education, criminal justice, nursing, physical therapy) with the field of social work.

For English proficiency test : score from the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL), which is not more than 2 years old and on which a minimum score of 563 (paper-based) or 85 (internet-based) with a minimum score of 17 in each section, has been earned;Applicants who complete the IELTS may have an official score report, which is not more than 2 years old and on which a minimum score of 6.5 with a minimum of 6.0 in each section, has been earned.
