Art history is a dynamic field that explores the history of objects, sites, and spaces, their contexts, and meanings, across the globe. Cross-disciplinary and cross-cultural in its methods, art history asks big questions about how humans visualize and inhabit the world, past and present. Studying art history involves visual analysis of many media; cultural interpretation; critical and creative thinking; research; oral and written communication; collaboration, and problem-solving.
Students will choose a total of 30 semester hours from four groups: Fundamental courses, Specialized courses, Advanced courses, and Fine Arts courses.
