Program Overview

Woodworking students apply principles of art and craft to produce useful art objects. While a variety of materials may be employed, the main emphasis of the area is woodworking. As part of intensive hands on instruction, students learn to use a number of hand and power tools. Projects typically start with simple containers, then progress to complex furniture construction requiring carving, shaping, joinery, lamination and finishing techniques. High School Diploma OR Graduation Certificate, Transcripts for all years of high school with a minimum GPA of 2.0, Minimum SAT score of 910 with minimum of 450 on Reading section, Degree from a secondary school located in a country where English is the native language, British / Cambridge International Examinations: GCE, GCSE, IGCSE, AICE, or the HIGCSE certificate with five O-Level subject passes, TOEFL ibT of 71 minimum on Academic Test with no band less than 16, IELTS 6.0 minimum on Academic Test with no band less than 5.0
