Program Overview

The advertising program (including both the major and minor) provides instruction in the major areas of the advertising industry. The program prepares students for careers in a number of advertising positions, including research, advertising sales, copywriting, layout and design, media planning and placement, and account service. Students can enhance their classroom learning through participation in the Murray State Ads Club, our campus chapter of the American Advertising Federation.

High School Diploma OR Graduation Certificate, Transcripts for all years of high school with a minimum GPA of 2.0, Minimum SAT score of 910 with minimum of 450 on Reading section, Degree from a secondary school located in a country where English is the native language, British / Cambridge International Examinations: GCE, GCSE, IGCSE, AICE, or the HIGCSE certificate with five O-Level subject passes, TOEFL ibT of 71 minimum on Academic Test with no band less than 16, IELTS 6.0 minimum on Academic Test with no band less than 5.0
