Program Overview

The Bachelor of Music Performance (Instrumental, Voice, or Piano) is intended for undergraduate students who wish to prepare for careers as performers of music in which extended study of applied music is required. An audition is required. The degree focuses on an in-depth study of music performance, the technical mechanics of music, music in historical perspective, pedagogical techniques and literature appropriate to their area. Students learn collaborative interaction, study music of a variety of cultures and genres, develop the ability to communicate as music pedagogues and performers, and achieve an extraordinarily high standard of performance and technical skill.
