Program Overview

Students who complete the Bachelor of Arts in Music - Pre-Certification program receive a degree that leads to certification in teaching music on the K-12 level. The degree has been designed to conform to the accreditation standards of the Virginia State Department of Education, the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education, and the National Association of Schools of Music. Upon completion, student can seek admission to the graduate college and pursue the Master in Teaching Degree (MT).
