Program Overview

Diverse areas of expertise and interests represented among the faculty allow students to find the guidance they need to express their individuality through their music. The composition department is a community that fosters cooperation between its students and faculty. Through once-a-week composition seminars, students and faculty members have the opportunity to discuss each other's music and to hear music by visiting composers. Students take an introductory composition course during their first two semesters and then have three years of individual lessons with faculty composers. This assures a regular, disciplined course of study.

Completed High School with a score of 70% (out of 100), IELTS of 6.0, TOEFL ibT of 80, Pearsons of 58, Letters of Recommendation, GCSE or GCE English Pass (syllabus A) with grade of A, B or C, Mathematics, Natural/Physical Science and Social Science, GPA of 2.75 (out of 4.0), IB English A1 or A2 with grade of 3 or higher, Academic Records and transcripts, IB English A1 or A2 with grade of 3 or higher, SAT Evidence based reading / writing 480 or higher.
