Musicology is designed for students interested in learning about music and sound in relation to their cultural, intellectual, and historical contexts. In this major, you’ll work with your advisor to structure a curriculum that works for you. Your coursework will include both music and non-music courses that focus on subjects you’re passionate about. Our professors are specialists in a wide range of topics and approaches to music and sound study. We offer both a Bachelor of Arts (BA) and a Bachelor of Music (BM) degree in Musicology.
