The Drama Program in the Residential College is designed for theatremakers who seek to learn their craft holistically and connect their arts practice to important issues facing our society. We define the term “theatremaking” as the practice and study of all aspects of the art form, including performance, design, playwriting, and scholarship, not as distinct disciplines but as a single collaborative practice in service to drama that is grassroots, community-engaged, independent, and, above all, committed to social change.
