Program Overview

Organizational and Professional Communication professionals study the role of communication in increasing corporate productivity and employee satisfaction. KSU is the only Georgia institution offering an undergraduate concentration in Organizational and Professional Communication. Organizational and Professional Communication students learn the skills they need to develop employee training programs, training manuals, and employee handbooks. Students also conduct communication audits at area companies to measure employee satisfaction with company communication practices. Students often intern in corporate human resources or training and development departments.

Additional Information & Requirements

All communication and media majors must earn a grade of C or better in all communication and media courses counted toward their degree and pass the Communication Entrance Exam with a score of 78% of higher. Students who fail to pass the grammar test in three attempts much pursue majors in other departments. Submit your application and $40 application fee online, Official transcripts of ALL your high school or post-secondary records. English evaluations of all foreign documents will be needed. Your High School transcript will need to have a document-by-document evaluation including GPA. Graduation from high school with GPA of 2.5 with qualifying test scores-OrGraduation from high school with GPA of 2.6 without test scoresIf educated outside of the United States, the required official evaluationmust indicate GPA . Results from your Scholastic Aptitude Test SAT or American College Test ACT. SAT - Evidence Based Reading and Writing: 500| Math: 490. ACT - English or Reading: 18 | Math: 18. Validation of English Proficiency. TOEFL: 79 IBT or 550 PBT. IELTS: 6.5.
