The B.S in Finance prepares graduates for a variety of career possibilities including: corporate finance, securities, commercial banking, and financial planning. Careers in corporate finance involve capital budgeting, project financing, mergers and acquisitions, financial risk management, and international finance. Careers in the securities industry include securities analysis and financial research. Banking careers include positions such as commercial loan officers, trust administrators and bank managers. Careers in financial planning encompass all aspects of individual financial planning such as retirement, estate, 401K, college savings, insurance and pension planning. Investment bankers help corporations perform business transactions, make investment decisions, and raise venture capital.
Should have Grade 12 or High School with minimum GPA 50%, Official transcripts from all years of secondary school (or high school) must be sent directly to International Student & Scholar Services by the student s current or previous educational institution(s), Test scores: IELTS of 6.5, TOEFL ibt of 79, SAT, ACT. US universities use a holistic admissions review. Beyond grades and standardized test scores, they weigh the strength of your overall profile to understand who you are as a student and a person.
Profile Assessment: Business-related applicants are assessed on academic performance, quantitative preparation, communication, initiative and evidence of engagement with organisations or economic issues. Mathematics is particularly important for Finance, Economics, Business Analytics and other quantitative programs. Entrepreneurship, business competitions, investment or economics clubs, internships, case studies, market research and community projects may strengthen the profile.Advanced Placement(AP) Guidance: AP availability depends on the student's school.
