4 Years On Campus Bachelors Program
The Bachelor of Science in Business with an International Business concentration at the George Washington University School of Business combines a broad business foundation with specialized study of international economics and finance, international marketing, and global corporate strategy. Curriculum Structure
Year 1: Students establish their business foundation through courses such as The Age of Globalization (BADM 1004), Markets and Politics (BADM 2001) and introductory accounting and quantitative coursework. These subjects introduce students to globalization, economic and political influences on business, and the analytical foundations used throughout the degree.
Year 2: Students progress into core business subjects including Management Information Systems Technology (BADM 2301), Human Capital in Organizations (BADM 3103) and Contemporary Marketing Management (BADM 3401). Students also begin building their international business perspective through Introduction to International Business (IBUS 3001) and related business coursework.
Year 3: Students develop deeper expertise through the International Business concentration, beginning with Global Financial Environment (IBUS 3101) and selecting advanced courses such as International Marketing Management (IBUS 3201), International Business Finance (IBUS 3301) and Foreign Market Analysis (IBUS 4203).
Year 4: Students can further specialize in global strategy, multinational management, international finance or international markets through courses such as Regional Strategy for Multinationals (IBUS 4202), Managing the Multinational Enterprise (IBUS 4401), Managing in Developing Countries (IBUS 4402) and International Monetary and Financial Issues (IBUS 4303). The concentration requires 15 credits, with at least 9 credits completed in residence and a minimum grade of C- in concentration courses.
