This area of emphasis focuses on the development of computer applications for business, industry, and education that run on the personal computer or that integrate various hardware pieces into the computer system as a whole. Students will learn the software engineering process and project management and learn to program in languages such as C++ and C#. Students also learn to specify, design, and build large-scale software systems for existing hardware.
Completed application for admission, A high school diploma (official transcript with graduation date required), An Overall Grade Point Average of at least 2.00 on a 4.00 scale and a composite score of at least 19 on the ACT or SAT equivalent; OR an Overall Grade Point Average of at least 3.00 on a 4.00 scale and a composite score of at least 16 on the ACT or SAT equivalent, Test scores: Internet-based TOEFL score of 78 or higher, Paper-based TOEFL score of 547 or higher, IELTS score of 6.0 or higher, MELAB - minimum score of 79%.
