Additional Information & Requirements

• Other Deadline details: After submitting your application, you'll receive an email within 2–3 days with instructions to submit the Self-Reported Academic Record (SRAR). Your application remains incomplete without it, as Common App grades aren't used. Early Action: Apply by Nov 1, submit all materials (including SRAR) by Nov 7. Regular Decision: Apply by Jan 5, submit all materials by Jan 11.
• SAT/ACT Update: If you choose to report your scores, enter your highest test scores for the ACT composite and/or the SAT total without super-scoring, along with the highest sub-scores you earned in each category regardless of test date. We don't require or use the ACT writing test. We'll require official scores only if you enroll. Our SAT code is 1836, and our ACT code is 1154.
• English Language Proficiency Requirements: Report your highest TOEFL iBT (not MyBest), IELTS (including Indicator), or Duolingo score and sub-scores, regardless of test date. Tests must be taken within two years of your enrollment date. The TOEFL iBT Home Edition is accepted for Fall 2025. Official scores are required only if you enroll: TOEFL iBT code: 1836 IELTS: Send to University of Illinois Urbana Champaign Undergraduate Duolingo: Send to University of Illinois, Urbana Champaign Undergraduate Admissions.
• Recommendations: Final Report-Required, Teacher Evaluation(s): Not Applicable, Other Evaluation(s): Not Applicable.
• Writing Requirements: Common App personal essay- Required, College questions- 2 Optional Questions.
• Other application details: You’ll receive email instructions within 2–3 days on how to check your status and submit the SRAR. We review applications based on self-reported grades—don’t send transcripts unless admitted and planning to enroll. You're eligible for first-year admission if you haven’t enrolled full-time at another college. Otherwise, apply as a transfer student. Applicants to Art+Design, Dance, Music, or Theatre must complete an audition, portfolio, or interview. Only your first application will be reviewed—no replacements or refunds for later submissions. Avoid submitting a practice application. A non-refundable fee or fee waiver is required. International students are not eligible for fee waivers. English test scores (Duolingo, TOEFL, IELTS) may be required based on your responses and education background. They may be self-reported or sent officially.
