Students majoring in Computer Science complete a foundational core of coursework in computer science, mathematics, and physics, and in-depth coursework from one of three elective concentrations: (1) Software Development, (2) Cybersecurity, or (3) Analysis, Simulation, and Modeling. The major pairs well with most minors. The Analysis, Simulation, and Modeling concentration is ideal for those who want to minor or double major in a science.

Profile Assessment: Applicants are generally expected to demonstrate strong quantitative ability, particularly in Mathematics. Advanced Calculus, Statistics, Computer Science or Physics can support academic preparation. Coding projects, applications, websites, hackathons, research, data-analysis projects and technology-based solutions may demonstrate technical curiosity and practical ability. Previous coding experience is helpful but is not compulsory at every university.Advanced Placement(AP) Guidance: AP availability depends on the student's school.
